Q2 2024 Fitness & Weight Loss iOS Apps Performances in the US

In the second quarter of 2024, the fitness and weight loss category for iOS apps saw varied performances across the top contenders in the US market. Sensor Tower's data gives us a glimpse into how these apps fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

YAZIO Calorie Counter & Diet experienced a slight decline in revenue from $3.3M at the start of April to $2.54M by the end of June. Downloads followed a similar pattern, decreasing from 1.8M to 1.6M. However, weekly active users showed resilience, growing from 12.04M to 14.72M over the quarter.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike also saw fluctuations in revenue, with an initial drop from $2.4M to $1.9M, before climbing to a peak of $3.85M in early June and settling at $3.08M by the quarter's end. Downloads remained relatively stable, ranging from 1.6M to 1.3M. The app's weekly active users peaked at 17.77M in late April, with a final count of 17.12M in late June.

Calorie-counter by Dine4Fit showed a decrease in revenue from $2.8M to $2.2M, while downloads started at 5M and dipped to 3M. The weekly active users started strong at 22.27M but saw a slight decrease to 20.1M by the end of Q2.

Fitness App: Gym Workout Plan gathered revenue starting at $1.5M and had a downward trend ending at $1.2M. Downloads showed a significant jump in mid-May with 2.8M but then fell to 788K. The weekly active users saw an increase from 1.8M to 3.8M mid-quarter, then a decline to 2.3M.

Lastly, Calorie Counter by FatSecret had revenue ranging from $1.1M to $1M. Downloads saw an upward trend, starting at 3.3M and rising to 3.7M, with a slight dip to 3.2M by the end of June. The app experienced a significant rise in weekly active users, from 13.1M to 16.1M over the quarter.
